How We Begin

In our early sessions, we identify the goals you hold individually and collectively.
Together, we clarify:

  • What you want to strengthen

  • What needs healing or understanding

  • What boundaries, agreements, or practices need to be built

  • What your shared vision of connection truly is

From there, we create a collaborative plan for your relationship system—one that meets each person where they are and supports the growth you want to experience together.

What It Means to Work With Me in Relationship Coaching

Working with me as a relationship group—whether you are a couple, polycule, long-term friends, co-parents, or chosen family—is an opportunity to deepen connection, clarify boundaries, repair ruptures, and grow together with intention. My approach is trauma-informed, somatic, politicized, and rooted in the belief that relationships are living ecosystems: when one part shifts, the whole system can transform.

This is a space where all identities, orientations, and relationship structures are welcomed and affirmed. As a Black queer woman with decades of community-based practice, I hold space with nuance, cultural awareness, and deep respect for alternative pathways of loving and belonging.

My Coaching Approach for Relationship Systems

• Trauma-Informed & Nervous-System Aware
Each person has their own history, triggers, and pace. I hold the relational field with care, helping everyone feel safe, seen, and emotionally regulated so conflict can shift into clarity.

• Somatic and Embodied
We don’t just talk about what’s happening—
we feel into patterns, activate presence, practice co-regulation, and learn how each body responds under stress or connection. Embodiment opens pathways that words alone cannot.

• Politicized, Culturally Grounded Healing
Relationships don’t occur in a vacuum.
We explore how systems—racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, capitalism, and cultural narratives—shape communication, power, boundaries, and emotional expression.
This is relational healing with context and consciousness.

• Conflict Resolution & Communication Reinvention
I support you in transforming conflict into deeper understanding, teaching tools for:

  • Naming needs without blame

  • Listening without defensiveness

  • Repairing ruptures

  • Creating shared agreements

  • Navigating emotional differences

  • Holding space for multiple truths

Conflict becomes a doorway, not a dead end.

• Inclusive of Alternative Family Structures
I work extensively with:

  • Polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous systems

  • Queer, trans, and gender-expansive relationships

  • Blended families and co-parenting teams

  • Friend groups who operate as chosen family

  • Creative partnerships and collaborative teams

Love takes many shapes. Your structure is respected, affirmed, and understood—with no pressure to fit a traditional mold.

• Identity-Aware & Liberation-Centered
We explore how identity, power, roles, social conditioning, and cultural histories influence the way you love, respond, and relate. The work honors differences without letting them divide you.

• Inspired by the Legacy of Harriet Tubman
Harriet’s clarity, courage, and commitment to collective liberation shape my relational work.
Relationships can hold each other through struggle, expand beyond limitation, and work toward freedom together. Her life is a metaphor for how we navigate tense terrain while still choosing connection and possibility.

• Building Interdependence, Not Codependence
We explore the difference between healthy interdependence and codependent patterns. You’ll learn to honor your own needs while staying connected, creating relationships where autonomy, mutual support, and accountability coexist without enmeshment or over-responsibility.

What It Feels Like to Work With Me

The space is structured but warm, honest but compassionate.
I hold each person with neutrality and care, supporting everyone in telling the truth, naming needs, honoring boundaries, and building connection rooted in integrity.

You’ll leave sessions with clarity, shared language, practices, and concrete tools that help you navigate challenges, communicate with presence, and build a relationship ecosystem that feels alive, grounded, and possible.
